Recently, we have succeeded in synthesizing new phosphors based on the ternary Li2O-M2O5-TiO2 (M = Nb or Ta) solid solution system as the host materials. [1-3]. Eu3+doped Li1.11Ta0.89Ti0.11O3 phosphor showed strong red emission in the quaternary Li1+x(Ta1-zNbz)1-xTixO3 solid solutions [4].
